A suitable Care Worker will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Excellent communication skills with both service users and other members of staff.
- Empathy, compassion, and caring nature.
- Flexible approach to location of work.
- Respect for individual privacy and maintaining service user confidentiality.
Tasks you are required to perform include but are not limited to:
- Assisting service users with personal care.
- Preparing and serving meals to service users and assisting with feeding if required.
- Ensuring service users’ overall comfort and wellbeing.
- Providing activities to stimulate and engage the service user (e.g., recreational activities).
- Helping with daily activities such as letter writing, paying bills, collecting benefits, etc.
- Undertaking light cleaning and domestic duties.
- Daily record keeping of all service user activities.
- Liaising with other healthcare professionals to meet the needs of the service user.
Other:
- No formal academic requirements, but qualifications are encouraged.
- On-the-job and off-the-job training provided by Dignity Care Support.
- Background checks including a DBS check are required.
- Applicants must be 18+ with healthcare experience.
Note: Staff are paid hourly rates.
