A suitable Care Worker will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent communication skills with both service users and other members of staff.
  • Empathy, compassion, and caring nature.
  • Flexible approach to location of work.
  • Respect for individual privacy and maintaining service user confidentiality.

Tasks you are required to perform include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting service users with personal care.
  • Preparing and serving meals to service users and assisting with feeding if required.
  • Ensuring service users’ overall comfort and wellbeing.
  • Providing activities to stimulate and engage the service user (e.g., recreational activities).
  • Helping with daily activities such as letter writing, paying bills, collecting benefits, etc.
  • Undertaking light cleaning and domestic duties.
  • Daily record keeping of all service user activities.
  • Liaising with other healthcare professionals to meet the needs of the service user.

Other:

  • No formal academic requirements, but qualifications are encouraged.
  • On-the-job and off-the-job training provided by Dignity Care Support.
  • Background checks including a DBS check are required.
  • Applicants must be 18+ with healthcare experience.

Note: Staff are paid hourly rates.
